The Foreign Legion hat is great. My husbands neck was getting burned by the sun while working outside. Now his neck is covered by the material of the hat. Also he can get the hat wet and stay cool in the hot sun.

Foreign Legion Cap w/neck protector (More Colors Available) I bought two of these hats for my son, whose skin is sensitive to the sun. It works great. The back flap folds into the back of the cap when not needed for sun protection, and the hat looks like a military-style cap. The hat is very comfortable for him when worn this way. The back flap protects his ears and neck completely when in use.
I have had to wash it since it was purchased. The directions suggest hand washing or dry cleaning. I washed it in the sink with dish soap, it dried very well, no distortion to the brim and it dried wrinkle-free. It is of excellent construction and materials, I cannot recommend this hat enough. I had been looking for this style hat for quite a while and am very glad I finally found such a high-quality version.
